Nawa is our founding partner and senior partner of the firm. He is the pillar of the firm on whose vision the firm was built.

He holds a Bachelor of laws (LLB), from the University of Zambia (UNZA). He is a member of Law Association of Zambia and an Associate Member of the Institute of Arbitrators. He is also admitted to Practice before the High Court for Zambia

Nawa Mataa has spent over 22 years in industry strengthening his commercial law expertise. He has worked as Company Secretary and serving on the Board of Blue-Chip Mining Support Companies. He further worked for Blue-Chip International Company in the Telecoms Sector as legal director and company secretary and was in charge for all litigation, commercial law, board matters and telecoms sector compliance. He brings valued mining and telecom sector legal experience to the firm.

He also served as Corporate Counsel for Anglo America – as well as it’s arm Konkola Copper Mines (“KCM”) unto Company Secretary report to the Board. He brings wealth and legal experience in the Mining Sector in Zambia which is valuable to the firm. He has further served in the Banking and Financial sectors – as legal counsel handling all legal matters of the firm.

Nawa is also a passionate Golfer and had served Captain for the Lusaka Golf Club as well as a dedicated Round Tabler. He is also a member of Normads Zambia.
